CST Special General Meeting this Sunday

A quick reminder that the next Chelsea Supporters Trust Special General Meeting will be held after the Southampton game on Sunday 1st December at 18:15. This is your chance to get an update on the current status of various CST initiatives (e.g. the ticketing survey) and to question the board on relevant issues.

The venue will be the CIU Club at 71, Britannia Road, SW6 2JR (where the CST launch meeting was held) just over the road from the West Stand entrance to Stamford Bridge. It is not anticipated the meeting will last longer than 75 minutes or so.

The SGM agenda, which includes updates on a number of key initiatives passed as AGM motions, can be found here.

The meeting is open to voting members only. If you are not already a member and would like to attend you can either join via our website www.chelseasupporterstrust.com before Sunday or sign up on the door on the night.

There is a limit on the size of the meeting room so, if you would like to attend please email us at membership@chelseasupporterstrust.com. If you attend without notifying us, there is a small possibility that you will not get in.

We look forward to seeing as many you as possible at the meeting – it is one of four a year we are committed to hold and gives you, our members, a chance to make your voice heard.

Forthcoming Chelsea Fans' Forum

The agenda for the next Fans Forum on Sunday December 1st has now been published. The specific issues to be covered are as follows:

  • Thomas Cook
  • Security
  • Ticketing
  • Atmosphere

A number of these issues were covered in the CST survey, and in resultant motions passed after the August AGM. The CST representative, Julian Beattie, will be taking these results to the Forum.

If you have any other specific points on these topics that you would like to be raised, please email membership@chelseasupporterstrust.com by this Thursday evening, so we can collate and identify any new points for Julian to raise at the Forum.

CST Christmas Party – Friday 13th December

A reminder that the CST Xmas Party is at the Black Bull on Friday 13th December. Details on how to obtain tickets can be found here.

There are only a few tickets left, so to ensure you get one, we’d suggest booking yours as soon as possible by emailing events@chelseasupporterstrust.com. Cost is £5 for full members and £10 for everyone else, to include cost of CST membership.

We’ll be back next month with the latest news from the Chelsea Supporters Trust.

Special General Meeting Sunday 1st December

Chelsea Supporters Trust Special General Meeting Sunday 1st December 18:15

As mentioned in October's newsletter, the next Chelsea Supporters Trust Special General Meeting will be held after the Southampton game on Sunday 1st December at 18:15. The venue will be the CIU Club at 71, Britannia Road, SW6 2JR (where the CST launch meeting was held) just over the road from the West Stand entrance to Stamford Bridge.

The CST's first ever AGM, held in August.

A meeting agenda will be circulated in the next few days on the website. The purpose of the meeting, one of four members' meetings the CST Board is committed to hold every year, is to update members with progress on key activities since August's AGM including the results of the recent ticketing and loyalty point survey. The agenda will advise how members can submit motions.

There is a limit on the size of the meeting room so, if you would like to attend please email us at membership@chelseasupporterstrust.com.

Unfortunately, we do not anticipate having access to the internet for this meeting so members who cannot attend in person will be unable to participate live through our audio streaming and chat services. The meeting will however be tweeted live through our twitter account and subsequently released as a podcast with accompanying minutes, as per usual.

Chelsea Supporters Trust Newsletter October 2013

Chelsea Supporters Trust Newsletter October 2013

With the 2013/14 season now well underway, the Chelsea Supporters Trust continues to gain momentum, with a busy schedule of meetings and planning for future events.

Board Activities

Monthly Board meetings are now taking place which reflect the day-to-day running of the Trust, such as crucial social media presence, and how to grow the membership as well as ensuring we take forward initiatives on the various AGM motions. Minutes from October's board meeting are available here.

The CST made its debut at the Fans Forum prior to the Fulham game on 21st September, with Julian Beattie representing the Trust.

Members of the Trust Board also met senior executives of Chelsea FC on 14th October in what Chairman Tim Rolls described as a “useful and interesting meeting” – notes from the meeting are available on the website here.

CST in the Community

On 12th October, the international break provided an opportunity for the Trust to get out into the local community with a view to building strong relations with the residents. Taking advantage of a crisp, sunny, autumnal day, a team of volunteers traipsed the streets on the south side of Stamford Bridge putting leaflets through hundreds of doors - at the same time being wary to avoid those marked ‘no circulars’. A similar exercise will take place targeting Earls Court and Parsons Green on the Saturday of the next international break. Some interesting feedback was received which we will pass to the appropriate bodies.

Christmas Party

As we’re now in Autumn, it won’t be long until the festive season is upon us, and the Chelsea Supporters Trust are delighted to announce that a Christmas Party will take place at The Black Bull pub, Fulham Road, on Friday 13th December. Admission will be just £5 for full CST members, with admission available to non-voting members at £10, which will include an upgrade to full membership of the Trust. There will be music and food included in the admission price, and it promises to be a very special event to mark the end of the first full year of the Trust’s existence.

Mark Worrall will be launching his new book about Roman Abramovich's first ten years at Chelsea. Anyone buying on the night will get their copy for £10 instead of the RRP of £16.99.

Tickets for the party are available from events@chelseasupporterstrust.com

Special General Meeting

The CST will be holding a Special General Meeting (SGM) on Sunday 1st December, after the home game against Southampton (time and venue to be confirmed). As well as an update on a series of initiatives relating to the motions passed at the AGM, this meeting will give members the opportunity to put questions to the new Trust Board, not just in person, but also via Mixlr, where the meeting will be broadcast live.

Badges

Finally, we’re delighted to say that the badge for our full voting members, carrying the Trust crest, has now been signed off and we are awaiting delivery. Badges should be available at the Christmas Party on 13th December, and will also subsequently be available to collect from the cfcuk stall.

CST on Matchdays

As usual, a member of the Trust Board will be available at the cfcuk stall for 90 minutes on matchdays to answers members’ queries and not only sign up new members, but also upgrade non-voting members to full membership, with the added bonus of being able to purchase tickets for the Christmas Social. Theresa Magee will be present before the West Bromwich Albion match on 9th November between 1.00pm and 2.30pm.
